Long serving director of Qantas John Schubert has announced he is to retire from his position of Director of Qantas after serving 12 years in the role.

 

His retirement was announced at the Qantas Annual General Meeting, and will take effect immediately.

 

Qantas Chairman, Leigh Clifford, thanked Mr Schubert, paying tribute to his business judgement and wise counsel, specifically his dedication to employee safety.
