Tribute paid to industry champion
On behalf of the team at LogisticsCareer, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Nick Dimopoulos, Chief Executive of the National Transport Commission, who sadly passed away on 8 February 2013.
Mr Dimopoulos was known as a steadfast champion for transport reform in the country, with the National Transport Commission issuing a statement commemorating his positive influence on the Commission.
The Australian Logistics Council’s Managing Director, Michael Kilgariff, expressed his sorrow on the loss of Mr Dimopoulos.
“Nick was a tireless advocate for transport reform in Australia and he brought to the task enormous determination, purpose and vision,” Mr Kilgariff said.
In lieu of flowers, Nick’s family have requested donations to the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research.
George Konstandakos will continue in the interim as our Acting Chief Executive.
