Senior Project Manager

The Company:

Our client is a leading Power Engineering company, looking to grow their construction team due to a strong pipeline of projects. Dedicated to shaping the future of energy through cutting-edge power generation solutions. They have an experienced team of experts thriving on engineering excellence, sustainability, and delivering projects that make a real impact.

Seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their dynamic construction team. Reporting to the Construction Director, responsible for the delivery of Major Projects within the EPC business unit.

The role is a full time, permanent position based out of ther Adelaide office.

The Role:

  • Develop Project Management Plans for Projects
  • Produce, monitor and update Project Schedules
  • Monitor and control risks, quality, design, procurement, time, safety, and environmental factors
  • Liaise with clients, internal staff and other project stakeholders and status reporting of projects
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to facilitate achievement of project requirements
  • Participate in project meetings, Project Risk Assessments, implement and monitor risk management strategies
  • Provide support to post tender variations and new tenders
  • Ensuring successful execution of assigned Projects from a safety, time, cost and quality
  • Demonstrate the achievement of ‘value for money’ in delivery of all project activities
  • Identifying opportunities in which design and projects are delivered to assist the Company to sell their products and services
  • May need to work extended hours to achieve business objectives and be required to travel interstate when required

About you:

  • Engineering degree, equivalent or relevant trade qualification (mechanical or civils background)
  • Working in a Contrating/EPC enviroment highly advantagous
  • Suitable level of industry experience in power generation or related heavy industry
  • Formal qualification in Project or Business Management is highly regarded
  • A proven record in managing projects in an industrial environment
  • Effective evaluation, analytical and communication skills
  • Expert in similar role would be highly regarded
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Hold working rights for Australia
